Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of getadvantage.app(the “Service”), operated by Benjamin Hellmich. By creating an account or using the Service you agree to them. Provider, registered seat and contact details are in our Impressum.

What the Service does

getAdvantage scans how AI reads a website and returns a measured AI-readability score, paste-ready fixes, and optional auto-applied fixes via a one-line embed. Every score is a measurement of observable signals at scan time — not a guarantee. We do not promise any specific ranking, traffic, AI citation, or business outcome, and an embed cannot guarantee that a non-JavaScript crawler sees an injected tag. File-based fixes (such as llms.txt and robots.txt) must be placed by you — the embed cannot create or modify them.

Pre-contract information for consumers (Art. 246a EGBGB)

Before you complete a paid order we make the following clear, and the checkout repeats it:

• Main characteristics: an online (SaaS) AI-readability scanner that scores a website, generates paste-ready fixes, and — on a paid plan — auto-applies the DOM-injectable fixes through a one-line embed.
• Functionality & interoperability: the Service runs in any modern web browser with no install; the embed is a single <script> tag you paste into your own site; your scan data and generated artifacts can be exported on request.
• Total price & billing frequency: the full recurring price and the billing interval are shown on the pricing pageand again on the Stripe checkout screen before you confirm. The order button is labelled to make the payment obligation unmistakable (“zahlungspflichtig bestellen”, § 312j Abs. 3 BGB).
• Free trial & minimum term: paid plans start with a 14-day free trial (no charge today); there is no minimum term — cancel anytime, effective at the end of the current period, and cancelling during the trial means no charge at all.

Accounts

You are responsible for your account credentials and for the activity under your account. You must give accurate information and only scan sites you own or are authorised to test.

Plans, billing and refunds

• Paid plans start with a 14-day free trial (no charge today) and are then billed in EUR each period in advance via Stripe. Prices and per-plan usage caps are shown on the pricing page.
• VAT/tax is handled in accordance with applicable law and is calculated and shown at checkout (via Stripe Tax); the price you confirm is the total price payable.
• Auto-renewal: subscriptions renew automatically each billing period at the then-current price for that plan until you cancel. We disclose this plainly so renewal is never a surprise.
• Where an invoice is issued rather than charged to a card, payment is due within 14 days of the invoice date.
• Plans carry hard usage caps (sites and scans). There is no metered overage — you are never charged beyond your plan.
• You can cancel anytime (see below); access continues until the end of the paid period. We do not provide pro-rated refunds for partial months except where required by law or by the consumer withdrawal right below.

Cancellation

You can cancel a subscription at any time from the Stripe Customer Portal, reachable from your billing settings — this is the one-click cancellation path required by § 312k BGB (the “Kündigungsbutton”). Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; your plan stays active until then and is not renewed afterwards. You may also close your account entirely at any time.

Right of withdrawal (consumers)

If you are a consumer in the EU, you have a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal when you order a paid plan, with no reason required (§§ 312g, 355, 356 BGB; Consumer Rights Directive 2011/83/EU). Paid plans begin with a 14-day free trial: you are not charged when you start, and you can cancel anytime during the trial from your billing settings to pay nothing. The free trial runs alongside your statutory withdrawal period, so your right of withdrawal is fully preserved — cancel during the trial and no payment is ever taken.

Business customers and the embed (data protection)

Where you embed getAdvantage on your own site and we thereby process personal data of your end-users on your behalf, that processing is governed by a data-processing agreement (Art. 28 GDPR). See our Data Processing Agreement.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• scan sites you have no right to test, or use the scanner to probe third parties unlawfully;
• attempt to exceed, circumvent or abuse rate limits, plan caps, or the API/MCP access controls;
• resell or redistribute the Service except as expressly permitted by your plan;
• disrupt, reverse-engineer for a competing service, or attack the infrastructure.

Intellectual property

The Service, its engine and its content are owned by Benjamin Hellmich. The fixes and artifacts generated for your own site (e.g. your llms.txt) are yours to use.

Disclaimer & liability

The Service is provided “as is”. To the maximum extent permitted by law we exclude implied warranties and are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law (including for intent or gross negligence, or for injury to life, body or health), nor any mandatory statutory consumer rights. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid in the three months before the claim.

Termination

You may close your account anytime. We may suspend or terminate access for a material breach of these terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by German law, and the courts at the provider’s registered seat have jurisdiction, in each case without prejudice to the mandatory consumer-protection law of your country of residence.
